Legend

A long time ago, when God still was in the process of creating the Earth, he ran into a problem. God realized that as long as Adam and Eve began to conceive, the world could not hold an infinite number of his creations. To solve this problem, God took a piece of the night sky and carved it into a child. Then, he took a piece of the sunrise, and then carved a child into it. He named the first child Death, and the second he named Life. Life, being full of light and joy, was set free to roam the Earth and the heavens. Death, however, was given a set of rules. Death may only kill:
·         To put someone out of intense pain or misery
·         Their soul has become completely dark
·         Their scroll says that it is their time to die
A scroll room was given to Death as well. It contained a new scroll every time another person came to exist. The scroll had the exact time and date a person was to cease to exist. Death spent his time reading the scrolls and guiding souls to the Underworld. So while Life roamed the world shining light into the dark aspects of life, Death worked. Death guided souls to their final resting place without fail. But one day, Death found himself reluctant to detach one particular soul. The girl who he could not bring himself to take was named Arriana. He took her, body and soul, to the Underworld.
Life, who was supposed to grant Arriana’s mother a child, could not. The balance had been thrown off. Furious, Life ran to the Underworld. God stopped him. God reminded Life that if Death attempted any other contact with a mortal other than guiding their soul, Death’s power would flee him. Life ran even faster to save his brother, but it was too late. When Life found the couple, Arriana was the new Death, and the original Death was reduced to ashes.
Life vowed then and there to never fall in love with a mortal, he did not want to turn to ashes like his brother. But Arriana became the new Death. But there was another problem. Arriana still had a mortal’s heart. During her years doing Death’s work, she fell in love, and then was turned to ashes. Her love fell in love, and then turned to ashes. And so forth.
In the meanwhile, many new forces were created. The quadruplets; Summer, Winter, Spring, and Autumn. The forces of nature; Wind, Tsunami, Tornado, Earthquake, and Hurricane, etc. They lived in the immortal realm. Occasionally, an immortal will visit the mortal realm and wreak havoc. The world has been going on like this for centuries….
